The basics
What is term life insurance?
Term life insurance covers you for a set number of years — with EZPZ, anywhere from 1 to 30. If you pass away, or receive a terminal diagnosis, during that term, your beneficiaries receive the amount you chose. There's no savings or investment element, which is exactly what keeps it simple and affordable: you pay only for protection.
Who is EZPZ for?
EZPZ is built for expats — people living, working, or retiring outside their home country. Many traditional insurers won't cover globally mobile applicants, or void cover the moment you relocate. Our policies are designed to follow you across 180+ countries, including back to your home country.
How is EZPZ different from a traditional insurer?
Everything is built around expat life: a 100% online application, no medical exam for cover up to $750,000, fixed premiums that never increase, and worldwide portability across 180+ countries — with real people to help when you need them. The policies are FCA regulated and reinsured by Gen Re.
Do you offer whole life or universal life insurance?
No — we focus purely on term life, the simplest and most affordable type of cover. Whole and universal life policies bundle in a savings component that typically makes them several times more expensive. If you'd like to understand the trade-offs, our AI assistant is happy to walk you through them.
Coverage & eligibility
Who can apply?
Applicants aged 18 to 69 who live outside — or split their time between — their home country, with cover able to continue up to age 80. Residents of the United States can't be accepted, and a small number of countries are restricted for sanctions reasons; everywhere else is generally eligible.
How much coverage can I get?
You can apply for up to $750,000 with no medical exam — just the Face-iT Scan. Higher amounts, up to several million, are available with some additional underwriting. The right figure depends on your income, your debts, and what your family would need if you were no longer there to provide.
What term lengths can I choose?
Any length from 1 to 30 years, in one-year increments. A good approach is to match the term to the years your family would be financially exposed — until a mortgage is repaid, your children are independent, or you reach retirement.
Which countries does my policy cover?
Your cover stays valid across 180+ countries, with sanctioned countries the only exception. Whether you move for work, retire abroad, or divide your time between places, the policy moves with you — there's no need to re-apply each time you relocate.
Can my spouse be covered if they don't have an income?
Yes. A spouse without an income can be covered for up to $250,000. You can insure two people together under a single joint-life policy, which pays out on the first death, or take out separate individual policies.
Applying & the Face-iT Scan
How do I apply, and how long does it take?
The whole application is online and takes about 15 minutes. You answer a few questions, choose your cover, and complete the Face-iT Scan from your phone — there are no clinics to visit and no paperwork to post.
Do I need a medical exam?
No. For cover up to $750,000 there are no blood tests, needles, or doctor's visits. Instead you complete the Face-iT Scan yourself, from home.
What is the Face-iT Scan?
Face-iT is a biometric health check that uses your smartphone camera and takes only about a minute. It replaces the traditional medical exam for eligible applications, which is how cover can often be approved the same day.
Are pre-existing conditions covered?
They can be. Cover applies to death from all causes from the policy's start date, subject to the outcome of your medical underwriting — and in most cases there is no waiting period before you're covered.
Pricing & payments
Will my premium go up over time?
No. Your premium is level and guaranteed for the whole term — it never rises with age or inflation. Lock in your rate today and it stays the same for the life of the policy.
What affects the price I pay?
Mainly your age, the cover amount, the term length, whether you smoke, and your general health when you apply. Because premiums are fixed for the term, applying earlier — while you're younger and healthier — locks in a lower rate for good.
Which currencies can I choose?
You can hold your policy, and pay, in US Dollars, Pounds Sterling, or Euros. Choosing a currency that matches where your beneficiaries are likely to live helps avoid exchange-rate surprises later on.
How often do I pay, and is one option cheaper?
You can pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. Paying annually is the most economical — roughly 5% less than paying monthly — and there are no card fees.
Is it cheaper to buy through EZPZ?
The price is the same wherever you get your quote — buying through us doesn't cost extra. What our online-first approach adds is lower overhead, transparent pricing with no hidden fees, and premiums fixed for the life of your policy.
Claims, beneficiaries & your policy
How do claims work, and how quickly are they paid?
A claim is made by your beneficiary or their legal representative, with the insurer notified within 90 days. Once the required documents are in and the claim is approved, payment is typically made within 48 hours, in the same currency as your premiums.
Will my beneficiaries pay tax on the payout?
The benefit is paid as a lump sum, but whether any tax applies depends on the beneficiary's country of residence and its rules — meeting any local tax obligation is their responsibility. Because cross-border tax can be complex, we recommend confirming the position with a local adviser.
Who can I name as a beneficiary?
Anyone you choose — one person or several, split the way you decide. You can name contingent (backup) beneficiaries, a trust, or a company, and you can change your beneficiaries as often as you like. A minor can be a beneficiary, though a guardian would receive the funds on their behalf until they turn 18.
What happens when my term ends?
When the term finishes, cover simply ends — there's no payout, no refund, and no automatic renewal, because term life has no savings component. You can cancel any time before then. If you still need cover afterward you would apply again, based on your age and health at that point, which is why it's worth choosing a term that comfortably covers the years you'll need protection.
Can I keep my policy if I move to another country?
Yes. The policy is fully portable, including back to your home country, and your premium doesn't change when you move — it's fixed from the country you were in when the policy started. Just let us know your new details at your policy anniversary.
Who backs and regulates the policy?
Your policy is administered by Tenzing Pacific Services Limited, which is FCA regulated in the UK, and it is reinsured by Gen Re — one of the world's largest reinsurers and a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. That gives your cover the financial backing of a highly rated global insurance group.
